This could be “how to implement sensory-friendly techniques into your art/performance classes”, but it's not. It discusses different sorts of behavior regulating methods that neurodivergent arts students need to be successful and how to sprinkle them for all students throughout your curriculum to make learning and creativity both accessible and simple. This workshop will introduce you to 3 types of sensory learners and will give you an introduction to common props and strategies to have on hand to make the theatre classroom better for all your students. Creating sensory-friendly curricula does not need to be an afterthought, expensive, or stressful, it can be implemented early and benefit all types of learners!
