Theater workers exist in a space of scarcity, trauma, and challenging power dynamics.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Take 5 is a policy and practice framework that creates structural protection for everyone involved in the play-making process and offers tools for building healthy, collaborative relationships. It creates situations where trauma is less likely to occur, and productive mechanisms for processing traumatic events that take place in the course of production.

Community, university, and professional theaters all over the country are implementing Take 5 principles to do better work, faster, with more joy and less burnout.

Learn practical tools for creating radically welcoming theater workplaces.

This session is intended for people who work in leadership roles (directors, designers, administrators, stage managers, etc), with students and young adults. We'll specifically address some of the complexities and opportunities of working with minors, working within educational institutions, and preparing students for "real world" situations.
